Welcome

Who We Are

We are a nationally recognised group of Psychologists working in the Irish Health Service at Director or Principal grade, who are managing DOHC funded departments. The inaugural meeting of the group "Psychological Services Directors Group" as it was known then was held in Moore Abbey, Monasterevin, on Friday 8th May 1987.

Since our foundation in 1987, the group have contributed to discussion and developments in a wide variety of initiatives relevant to psychological services within the Irish Health Services. The current membership of the group consists of eleven psychology managers from the H.S.E statutory services and twenty-two managers from the H.S.E non-statutory services. It is expected that over the next six months the group membership will change to include the new principal manager posts within the H.S.E statutory services.

The Terms of Reference of the group identify the main objectives of the group and the Organisational Systems of the group detail its internal structures.

This website will allow the group to enhance its communication with its members, psychologists employed within the health services and with the general public. We encourage its use and welcome the opportunity to improve our engagement with all stakeholders.
